TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT
MaRVis has developed the elements of its proprietary technology and integrated the optimized tools into a platform technology exemplified by advanced prototype guidewires. The result of its technology development program is a toolbox describing the technology platform for development of specific guidewires, catheters or other medical devices for defined medical applications. Prototype guidewires serve as lead products. Proof-of-concept has been achieved in animal trials. The next steps of industrial development to be performed will comprise set-up of industrial scale and GMP-grade manufacturing, final product design and development and clinical testing.
From the beginning on MaRVis has closely adhered to the regulatory environment relevant for medical devices (CE certification, FDA approval) to optimally adapt the novel approach and composite materials/constructions to regulatory certification and approval.
